I love the moment when you arrive early in the morning to shoot, and gradually turn into a character for a photo shoot.
How long have you started your modeling career, and how has this affected your life?
I was discovered when I was 14 during a walk along the largest and most beautiful shopping street in Amsterdam – Kalverstraat. This was my first trip to Amsterdam, and I could not believe it. It was a period when I was very young and shy, and traveling alone in such a big city was a very independent and adult act for me. And this day really changed my life.
You are currently in London. How long do you plan to stay there and can you briefly talk about your everyday life in the UK?
I have been living in London for a while, and plan to stay there, presumably for another 3 years. It was not love at first sight, but now, it has become my favorite city. I love it for many reasons – restaurants, markets, beautiful parks and English traditions, such as afternoon tea and Sunday roast. In January, together with my boyfriend, I moved to my own apartment.
My weekly schedule is constantly changing due to filming and auditions, but about once a week, I fly to work abroad. My everyday life is pretty mundane as for a model – in the morning I go in for sports, and spend the rest of the day on auditions, making time between them to meet my boyfriend.
What is your favorite photo shoot, campaign or fashion show in which you participated?
The first thing that comes to mind is the G-Star campaign. This was my first big job. I also liked the photo shoot for the British release of Marie Claire and my recent shoot for the British Elle.
What does it take to be successful in the modeling business?
I think it is necessary to love your work, be curious, be interested in all aspects of this business and, in the end, gain experience, because it is very important to learn how to move in front of the camera.
What do you like most about your profession?
I love the moment when you arrive early in the morning to shoot, and gradually turn into a character for a photo shoot. In addition, I am obsessed with cosmetics, so I’m interested in talking with makeup artists about cosmetic updates. The opportunity to visit places that I have never been to before is also a wonderful thing that modeling gives me.
What are your hobbies and hobbies?
I like to write, draw, play sports, watch documentaries about nature, read philosophy, cook and study at home. I always find different online courses or training videos, which is very interesting.
How do you manage to stay fit and what beauty tips can you give our readers?
I like “hot yoga”, Pilates and swimming. I try to regularly attend my training sessions, but, unfortunately, this does not always work out. I recently started going to training led by Russell Bateman. He is an excellent trainer, and after his classes I’m directly falling off my feet, but the result is simply amazing! For those who do not have enough motivation, I would recommend group classes, because you can always give all the best, which is difficult to achieve, doing it alone.
I also like to visit beauty salons such as SalonFriends, where you can relax and give in to the hands of professionals who will do their job at the highest level. I think that every girl is worthy of a break from everyday hustle and bustle, in the chair of a cosmetologist or makeup artist! My best advice regarding beauty and care is to watch a video with Lisa Eldridge. She is my favorite makeup artist, and her secrets and tricks in makeup have helped me more than once. For skin care, I use coconut oil and Pai rosehip oil.
Becoming a model was your dream?
Of course! I dreamed about this, from the moment I remember myself.
What is fashion for you, and how would you describe your style?
I think this is a creative process, and even something more. Everyone wears clothes, so everyone, to some extent, is involved in fashion!
My style is pretty simple. In this fall season, a pair of jeans is a must in my wardrobe.
